Manually update user rank

Nov 10, 2013 at 5:57 PM
Prior to the migration an admin could via a Users Forum Settings manually change a users ranking and elevate them to a new rank eg. Forum Moderator (after giving them Forum Mod. Permissions).

How do we do that now? Can't seem to find anywhere in Forum Settings or on the module!

Looks like that part of the UI is missing. In any case it can be done with sql:

UPDATE ActiveForums_UserProfiles SET RewardPoints = #### WHERE UserId = ###

Recycle the application pool after running that, and make sure you have enabled points mode in the module settings.

The UI is there in 5.0.4

It's located in the "PostInfo" section of a post. If you are an admin, you will see the "Edit" button. I believe this is in the release notes for 5.0.4

Thanks Ben. I had run same sql after not finding the UI.

jb "PostInfo" section ? I don't see any Edit button other than the Post Edit button and there is nothing in there to set rank. Am I missing something?

Look at the ProfileInfo template there you have [AF:BUTTON:EDITUSER].
