I second this. Can't figure out for the life of me how to get this corrected.

I second this. Same here. Can't figure out how to fix to save my life.

I'm seeing things in UTC not local time zone (server or user)

Not fixed by far; but I did make progress today. My server is in central time (UTC -6). I am in Eastern (UTC -5) and most of my users are in -6. All my posts were showing UTC (0).

I changed the site settings to UTC 0 as well as my -6 users. Put myself in +1 and for some reason it all works.

Really stupid way of making things work, and I had to delete my skin objects that show date and time since they are now wrong, but at least my forum posts show the correct date and time.

Patiently (not really) waiting on a fix for this. How was this setting removed from control panel? It seems a VERY basic necessity to me.

I believe I have corrected this in the source code for the next release, 5.0.2, attached to this issue you will find an install package for a new release, labelled as 5.0.2, but it is currently intended for testing, it isn't an official release as there are likely more bugs to be worked out before a full release.

Christoc's update fixed my time issue.

I am seeing the same thing. Like the friendly urls issues, this was all working in 4.3.8. My server is in Dallas (UTC-6), I am in Canberra Australia (UTC+10) and my post at 8am is showing as 2am.

I haven't tried the 5.0.0.2 file, codeplex gave a 404 when I tried to download it.

Ok, I installed the 5.0.0.2 build, that changed my 8am Nov 1st (UTC+10) post to a Oct 31st 4pm post. I'm staggered that this is an issue again after I spent so long battling with active modules to get it working correctly in the first place.

It's not that hard. Store the datetimes as utc, ignore the server time (except as a default for users who havent set their timezone) and use the user profile setting to convert before displaying.

5.00.02 fixed my issue, be sure to set the server and user profile time zones correctly.

My site is set to -6 (it's in dallas) and my user profile is set to +10, so what am I missing here?

Appears to be fixed in 6.0.2

benjironelson wrote Dec 19, 2012 at 6:03 PM

5.0.2, sorry

Extra260 wrote Dec 31, 2012 at 11:31 PM

Just installed the official 5.02 and this issue persists. I see no change at all.

Still I have this issue by 15th January 2015.

I am using AF 6.1.3 on DNN 7.3.4

Please can you tell me how to fix this?

Thank You!
